Mecklenburg County’s Historic Landmarks Department’s “Historic Bookmarks book club is holding its first-ever book club meeting at Camp North End and we want you to join us! We’ll be discussing Charlotte’s role during WWII with Charlotte’s own Meredith Ritchie, author of Poster Girls, a historical fiction novel set in Charlotte during WWII and based on true but forgotten events.”

Join us in the GW Auditorium for an evening with Meredith Ritchie, author of the award-winning novel Poster Girls. Poster Girls is a dual-perspective tale based on the true events of a diverse group of ordinary American women in the WWII-era South. A Charlotte native, Meredith Ritchie has brought to light a forgotten moment in Southern history in her debut novel. A limited number of books will be available to be signed by the author.

The Library at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is having a virtual book discussion about Poster Girls by author Meredith Ritchie on Thursday, March 13, 2024, at noon. All students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to attend.
